An EEG, or electroencephalogram, is a non-invasive test that records the brain’s electrical activity using electrodes placed on the scalp. It is commonly used to evaluate seizures, epilepsy, altered awareness, encephalopathy, and other changes in brain function.

EEGs are most commonly used to diagnose and manage epilepsy and seizure disorders.
